 SARAH’S BIOGRAPHY

Painting has been a major part of my life, from as far back as I can remember. I find it deeply fulfilling and something that I am very passionate about. My initial formal training started at Royal Worcester Porcelain, where I did my apprenticeship and worked for several years painting figurines, birds , cups and plates.  I then moved on to work for an American company, Boehm, based in Malvern where I was given the opportunity to take on more ambitious projects, working on larger, limited edition pieces.

Over twenty years ago we moved to a tiny village set on the edge of the North York moors and just a few miles from the sea. We have a working farm right next door with beautiful cattle grazing at the end of our garden. A couple of years ago we had a summer house erected in the garden and this has become my special haven where I can lose myself painting for hours on end. That is until I get a reminder from my beloved Teckel, Aggie, that it's time we went for a walk!

Throughout my working career, I have always tried to make time to indulge in my favourite pastime. Painting. I have worked with watercolours, oils and acrylics, painting a wide range of subjects. I enjoy nothing more than taking on a new project, experimenting with new ideas, methods and paints.

You will see from my blog some examples of my recent work. From bulls, cows, dogs, birds, cats, sheep, fish and lobsters. I have worked on a few commissions but mostly I paint what takes my fancy. Basically I’m up for any new challenge.

I really hope you enjoy what you see and please do feel free to contact me either to discuss my work, or if you would like me to paint a picture just for you!
